Very athletic when she was younger Gwen started
to let things slip after having her third child. It wasn't long before
running her own business had dragged her into a place of no exercise
and too many jam donuts! Having not run at all for a number of years
she decided to run the Houston Marathon with her Husband John. Together
they followed the 6 month plan and finished together hand in hand! Despite
swearing that she would never do another one she just had too much fun
and has decided to run the Dublin Marathon later this year.

a great source of motivation for me. I was wary of joining a running
club, but was made to feel at ease and although one of the slow ones
in the outfit, I have always been made to feel like I am achieving at

fitness and health as well as running. Even after I moved away from
Dublin, I still feel part of the team at Irish Fit, with training schedules
posted online, regular informative emails and a chat room on the website."

“Just did the Brussels Marathon on Sunday, in 3 hours
40min. Was about 25 Celsius and very humid. I definitely would have
no problem recommending you to any other friends of mine who wanted
to do the marathon. I would never have done it properly if I didn't
get your instructions. I was trying to do it from manuals but I always
ended up being overwhelmed by the technical side of things and invariably
gave up because I thought I wasn't doing it properly. When I got your
instructions, it was very straightforward and manageable and that's
why I persisted with it in the end. I asked for 3hours 30 and only for
the heat I would have made up the 10 minutes to beat that. So if and
when I decide to take on another one I will be e-mailing you first.
